How to choose high-pressure pipe joints
Sep 14, 2024
High pressure pipe fittings, as the name suggests, are a type of spare part product, but they are different from other water pipe fittings. On one hand, high-pressure pipe fittings, also known as hydraulic pipe fittings, are products used in hydraulic systems to connect high-pressure oil pipes and other fittings. They can be further divided into quick couplings, hydraulic hoses, etc. according to different styles of design, and the differences in curvature and material correspond to different effects.
How to choose high-pressure pipe joints
1. Rubber hose size
The inner diameter of the hose should be appropriate. If the hose is fixed with pipe clamps or passes through steel plates or other spacers, attention should also be paid to the outer diameter size of the hose.
2. Work pressure
According to the safety factor of hydraulic hoses specified in relevant international standards, the recommended working pressure is usually one fourth of the minimum burst pressure value of the hose.
3. Impact pressure and fatigue life
The selection of rubber hoses is determined based on the maximum pressure value designed for the hydraulic system. The impact pressure will not seriously affect the fatigue life of the hose. For hydraulic systems with frequent impact pressure, it is recommended to choose hose products that are particularly resistant to pulsating impact.
4. Temperature range
Users should use the hose within the temperature range allowed by the hose quality specifications, and if working continuously, it is recommended to cool it down frequently.
5. Chemical compatibility
If using special hydraulic media, users should ensure that the selected hose assembly has compatible inner and outer layers, joints, and O-ring seals with the media.
