Function of hydraulic connectors

Jun 08, 2023

Hydraulic connectors refer to components that play a role in connecting, sealing, and damping in hydraulic systems, and are widely used for driving various pumps, valves, oil cylinders, and hydraulic motors. For situations with high system pressure, when the system needs to pass through high pressure, such as sealing between pumps and valves, hydraulic joints are a good choice. It effectively isolates high-pressure and low-pressure media through joints to prevent mutual leakage or flow of media, ensuring the stability and reliability of system pressure. In order to avoid mutual leakage of high-pressure or low-pressure fluids, it is necessary to filter the liquid during design. Hydraulic connectors are a great choice as they can filter and isolate various liquids.

Hydraulic joints play an irreplaceable role in hydraulic systems, and their sealing performance determines the reliability of the system. They are also one of the most basic and important means of controlling fluid leakage. It can maintain the pressure of the system within a certain range, and when the pressure in the system is too high, it can depressurize the high-pressure liquid. There are a wide variety of hydraulic connectors with varying performance in the market, including spring seals, metal seals, and rubber seals. Metal seals are widely used due to their advantages such as long service life, good sealing performance, safety and reliability.

The spring seal may experience aging during long-term operation, and the spring seal ring may also wear to a certain extent, which can cause leakage in severe cases. Therefore, the spring seal ring should be replaced regularly. Metal seal is a non leaking and non leaking sealing element that can be used under high pressure and has good wear resistance, pressure resistance, and oil resistance; Rubber seals have good elasticity and oil resistance when used, but there is a certain softening phenomenon at high temperatures. Rubber seals can be used under lower pressures, but their wear resistance is not as good as spring seals; Metal seals can be used under lower pressures, but their impact resistance is not as good as spring seals.
